The SPECTRUM LOVE Cube is a collaboration between sculptor Jonathan Prince, Czech glass artist Zdeněk Lhotský, and Alexandra Grant’s grantLOVE project. A special edition of the Prince and Lhotský's colorful Spectrum series, the cube features Grant’s iconic LOVE symbol etched in violet glass, a color that represents the highest vibration. Through the grantLOVE Fund at the Pledgeling Foundation, proceeds from the LOVE Cube's sale will benefit the San Francisco Arts Education Project and Long Meadow Artist Residency.

Each LOVE Cube is produced by hand in the Czech Republic and will take 8 to 12 weeks for production. Shipping and insurance from the Czech Republic is an additional charge and will be billed separately.

Jonathan Prince views art as a journey that contemplates science, technology, and an ongoing investigation of spirituality. Through stretching the limitations of his materials, Prince finds possibility within vulnerability and beauty in the chaos. Prince is one of the only sculptors who fabricates all of his sculptural works, from small to monumental scale at his own state of the art fabrication studio in The Berkshires, Massachusetts. Prince’s works are in several prominent collections around the world and he has exhibited at Christie’s New York. jonathanprince.com

Zdeněk Lhotský is a painter, sculptor, glass artist, and technologist, as well as founding member of Czech artistic group Stubborn One. Three decades ago, he took over the world’s oldest studio of cast glass sculpture, making it an art manufacturing hub changing the world’s perception of glass as a contemporary art medium. Whether crafting building facades, interior lighting, fountains, staircases, or glass bowls and vases, his creations consistently feature decorative and technological innovation.  Lhostky has exhibited internationally, and his works are held by numerous public and private galleries including Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, Tacoma Art Museum, Museum of Arts and Design, and Museum Ernsting Stiftung. lhotsky.cz

Long Meadow Art Residency (LMAR), established in 2021, is a passion project of founders David Feldman and Jennifer Herman-Feldman. First and foremost, they are true lovers of art and artists. Their continued support of artists through all phases of their creative journey is unique, championing great artists who, for whatever reason, were underrecognized, and providing support to artists eager to make the time to hone their craft and the galleries that support them. As LMAR enters their third season of a fully supported artist residency, Jennifer and David are restating their mission to provide a home, studio space, and supplies for artists to stop, breathe and contemplate. The goal is for artists to have uninterrupted time to reassess, experiment, and explore their creativity, try new things while in a beautiful, serene setting. longmeadowartresidency.com

The San Francisco Arts Education Project was founded in 1968, and for more than 50 years has stayed true to its mission: to enrich the lives of children by facilitating hands-on participation in the visual and performing arts—taught by practicing artists. SFArtsED supports artist residencies in an array of visual arts, dance, drama, musical theater, world rhythms, and choral expression at more than twenty public schools and in after-school programs. At SFArtsED’s summer camps students are immersed in a wide range of expressive disciplines with nearly 20% of campers receiving scholarship assistance. The musical theater troupe offers a rigorous, after-school and weekend training program for serious young performers (ages 9-14), culminating in a fully realized production every spring at the Presidio Theatre. Since March, 2016, SFArtsED has been located at the Minnesota Street Project, where they hold workshops and exhibit student work. sfartsed.org
